ECCO Newsletter: "Standardized documentation of IBD comes true" by Prof. Walter Reinisch and Nikolaus Pedarnig IBDIS - a tool for ECCO ECCO and UNIDATA GEODESIGN set out to establish a standardized documentation of IBD patients in Europe. The major challenge for this ambitious project was to guarantee, that the documentation system covers all demands from the users, the European gastroenterologists as well as the pharmaceutical industry and regulatory authorities and to be available over the internet. Now, the Online-system has a broad field of application, from an ready-to-use tool for building bases for scientific analysis, electronic patient records ePRs with fully integration into the clinical routine or electronic case report forms eCRFs, supporting clinical trials and registries.
